From Monday 8 to Sunday 14 April, contemporary art becomes the center os Arts with activities in the public space, art fairs and cultural institutions of Buenos Aires.

BAFICI

The Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival takes place from April 3 to 14.

With a new meeting point at the Enrique Larreta Spanish Art Museum and a new main point, Multiplex Belgrano, this festival is one of the most anticipated cultural events in Buenos Aires.

On Saturday 6  and Sunday 7, in Juramento between Av. Cabildo and Cuba (Belgrano) the Bafici Marathon is presented: from the evening to the night, the cinema goes out to the street. Movies and interactive activities on a large four-sided screen, participatory installations, visual displays on walls, recitals and much more.

arteBA

From the 11th to the 14th of April the # 28 edition of the arteBA Fair will take place. More than 80 galleries from more than 25 cities around the world with new activities and sections. This year a new layout in La Rural divides the traditional Blue Pavilion, with the most classical galleries, and the new section, Utopía Bombay, which brings together young galleries.

ART BASEL CITIES: BUENOS AIRES

Art Basel Cities Talk Program: Buenos Aires will present a series of dialogues from 12 to 14 April from more than 40 speakers from different parts of the world, representatives of the diversity of voices from the academic, artistic and institutional community, in order to produce debates and encourage critical thinking.

MAP, Art Fair

After several years in the market, FACA fair and the Mapa de las Artes publishing house, join this year under the MAPA brand to present this Art Fair in the new Cultural Complex ( CC Art_ Media) located Av. Corrientes 6271 (Chacarita).

PARK WEEK OF ART

The park beside arteBA Fair, between Sarmiento, Libertador and Colombia streets, will host a vast interdisciplinary offer with works by different artists in the public space, open-air cinema, food trucks and more.

During Art Week, the following activities are presented:

Five works of public art by Argentine artists Margarita Paksa (presented by Museo Sívori), Marie Orensanz (presented by BIENALSUR), Mariana Telleria (national delivery of the Venice Biennale 2019), Luna Paiva (presented by Faena Art and Faena Festival) and Carlos Huffmann (presented by the Arts District).

An architectural pavilion that allows the presentation of the Round Table performance for the first time. This is a trial and reactivates Margarita Paksa Communications. The Pavilion, in turn, functions as an information center, a meeting place and headquarters for a daily program of art and thought that includes, among others, guided tours, lectures,  and a drawing workshop for works of art for teenagers developed by Clave 13/17 (Recoleta Cultural Center).

A cycle of open-air cinema on art and culture, developed especially by BAFICI, which will function as another venue for the festival. From Tuesday to Sunday at 9pm.

More than 43 art samples in the 22 participating institutions.
Guided tours of the outdoors on heritage and contemporary art, from Wednesday to Sunday at 3pm.

Event for all public on Tuesday 9 at 6:30 pm, ideal to go after work to enjoy live music, food trucks and public art works. At 8:00 pm Margarita Paksa Communications is reactivated and at 9:15 p.m., the first film of the cycle organized by BAFICI for the Semana del Arte Park is projected outdoors.

Tickets to participating institutions of Art Week, every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. until the daily stock is depleted.
